Is water recreation allowed year-round?

To protect the natural environment around EuroParcs Hindeloopen, we work closely with the province. Under the terms of our environmental permit, there is a general ban on water recreation from October 1 through April 1. From April 1 through October 1, however, you are welcome to enjoy the water on the west and north sides of the park. Feel free to ask at the front desk for more information or recommendations for nearby water sports locations.

Do I need a permit to fish on the IJsselmeer?

Yes, if you want to fish on the IJsselmeer, a valid VISpas is required by law. This applies to both fishing from the shore and from a boat. Please also note that the park regulations may include specific rules regarding where you are permitted to fish directly from the park grounds.
