Fancy a weekend full of fun, music and beer steins? During Oktoberfest Workum 2026, the Frisian harbour town will be transformed into a celebration of traditional Bavarian culture on 17 October 2026. The event is scheduled for this weekend on the event calendar of the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân, bringing another lively Oktoberfest to Workum. Visitors can look forward to a festive atmosphere with long tables, traditional Oktoberfest music, sing-alongs, Bavarian decorations and, of course, plenty of beer and German specialities. Lederhosen and dirndls are certainly not out of place and add to the authentic Oktoberfest experience. Although the final programme and exact location have not yet been officially announced, the event promises to be another fun and atmospheric celebration.

On Friday 6 November 2026, Workum’s historic town centre will be transformed into a charming winter setting during the Workum Winter Fair. This popular event is being held for the 15th time and is regarded as one of Friesland’s best-known winter markets. Visitors can enjoy a cosy winter atmosphere with beautifully lit streets, dozens of market stalls, winter treats and a varied programme of music and entertainment. In the town centre and around the harbour, local businesses, craftspeople and creative makers will be showcasing their products. There will also be a large food truck area where you can enjoy hot drinks and tasty winter dishes.
